This 19th Century Country Inn and Hotel is in the heart of the Cotswold village of Haresfield , just 1 mile off Junction 12 M5, yet surrounded by the rolling Cotswold Hills . The Beacon Inn is an ideal base for business, on-route stopovers or longer breaks to explore this beautiful area. For walkers, cyclists and horse riders, the historic Cotswold Way is minutes away. Originally known as the Haresfield Beacon Railway Hotel, the Inn was built in 1855 to the design of Francis Niblet, an architect responsible for many 19th Century church restorations in Gloucester . Haresfield Railway station opened in 1854, on the Bristol and Gloucester railway. The station was closed in 1965. We serve locally sourced home cooked food with a bar menu, full a la carte restaurant menu and daily specials board, including fish and vegetarian. There is always a selection of fine real ales from local brewers to further a field. |
