This 19th Century Country Inn and Hotel is in the heart of the Cotswold village of Haresfield , just 1 mile off Junction 12 M5, yet surrounded by the rolling Cotswold Hills . The Beacon Inn is an ideal base for business, on-route stopovers or longer breaks to explore this beautiful area. For walkers, cyclists and horse riders, the historic Cotswold Way is minutes away.

Originally known as the Haresfield Beacon Railway Hotel, the Inn was built in 1855 to the design of Francis Niblet, an architect responsible for many 19th Century church restorations in Gloucester . Haresfield Railway station opened in 1854, on the Bristol and Gloucester railway. The station was closed in 1965. 

We serve fresh food which is sourced from neighbouring farms with a bar snack and main course menu, full a la carte and cream tea menu,also Chef’s daily specials, including fish and vegetarian dishes. There is always a selection of fine real Ales and Cider’s from local brewers to further a field.

The Beacon Restaurant offers a full a la carte menu consisting of classic dishes (see below) which compliments our changing daily specials board. We pride ourselves in offering food which is sourced from neighbouring farms which is rotated through the seasons. 

Our traditional bar with its welcoming ambience is well stocked with beers, Ciders, Wines and Spirits and Cask conditioned Ales and is a popular meeting place. 

The Beacon Inn has an Alfresco dining on the extensive stone style patio area where you can relax on summer evenings.
